The speakers are Newell Searle, David Welna, Rachael Hager Hanel, and Larry Hofmann.     People who lived in or grew up in Waseca from the early 1910s through 1971 are certain to remember the popcorn wagon that was parked uptown either alongside Didra's Drug Store (the early years) or alongside the Rendezvous Cafe (the later years). Unfortunately, the popcorn wagon was lost to Waseca. It was sold and left Waseca in 1973, was restored by some dedicated retirees in Mason City, Iowa, and is now located in the Meredith Willson Music Man Square, Mason City, Iowa.     The Twin City Shape-Note Singers will present "A Singing" at the Waseca County Historical Society Museum, Saturday, April 21, 2012, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The Museum is located at 315 2nd Avenue N.E., Waseca, MN. The Twin City Shape-Note Singers have existed as a group for over 25 years, striving to keep alive this 200-year old form of singing. They schedule "singings" for both experienced and the novice singers, at which the singing may be led in either the Denson or Cooper version of The Sacred Harp, a book of music first published in 1844, and continuously in print ever since. . . .     Todd Dufault, Waseca High School's new basketball coach invites Bluejay basketball alumni 'who are in a position to play' to participate in alumni games on the afternoon of Friday, November 25. Following the games there will be a reception open to all former Bluejay basketball players.
