Need help posting in our forums? Ten easy steps to your first post.
Chuck Lucas
Are you reluctant to post in the Waseca Alums forums because you don't know how to do it? If you are, this article will provide you everything you need to know to make or respond to a post in one of our forums (Discussion Forum, Member Profiles, People Search, In Remembrance) in ten easy steps.
First, you need to be a member to post on the forum and to have signed in to the web site. Start by clicking on the 'Member Area' button in the top navigation bar and log in.

Click on 'Recent Forum Posts'
Second, you need to enter the 'Forum' by clicking on 'Recent Forum Posts' under the 'Discussion Forum' heading in the right navigation panel (or 'Recent Profile Posts' or 'Recent People Searches' or 'Recent In Remembrance Posts').
Third, you need to click on 'Post New Message' at the top of the forum page.

Click on 'Post New Messages'
Fourth, enter a 'Message Headline' that describes what you want to post.

Enter your 'Message Headline' and 'Message'
Fifth, enter your 'Message' and sign it. You will have an opportunity to cancel it or edit it so don't worry about it at this point.
Sixth, if you want to post an image, select an image file from your computer. The image must be quite small. We recommend a width of 150 pixels or less.
Seventh, check whether you want to be notified by email of responses to your message. You'd generally check this because you'd generally want to know if someone responded to your message without having to check the forum.
Eighth, click on 'Preview New Message' or 'Cancel Message.'

Click on 'Preview' or 'Cancel Message'
Ninth, if you click 'Preview New Message,' you'll be given the chance to 'Post this Message,' 'Edit this Message,' or 'Cancel this Message.'
Tenth, click on one of the choices. If you 'Post' your message, you can always edit it later.
That's all there is to it. I hope this helps you overcome your reluctance to post on the forums. I'll be looking for your posts!
