Ryan L. Esser, age 27 of Waseca, died on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at his home in Waseca. Born in Waseca on February 2, 1984, Ryan was the son of Richard Paul and Bonnie Jo (Possin) Esser. He was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca on March 25, 1984. He graduated from Waseca Public Schools in 2003, where he was a member of the wrestling team. Over the years since then, Ryan has held various jobs including employment with Kasota Stone in Mankato, ICAN, Dairy Queen, and Godfather's Pizza all of Waseca, Seneca in Montgomery, and Brown Printing in Waseca. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, computers, snowboarding, and skateboarding. Ryan was heavily involved with the establishment and construction of the Waseca Skateboarding Park, something he was very proud of. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca. Ryan is survived by his parents, Richard (Dorothy) Esser of Kilkenny and Bonnie Esser (Scott Fischer) of Janesville; two brothers, Robert "Rob" Esser and his wife Samantha of Waseca, and Richard "Rick" Esser of Mankato; grandparents Duane and Marvel Esser of Easton, MN, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was also looking forward to becoming an uncle for the first time. He was preceded in death by three grandparents, Lyle Possin, and Elmer and Arvella Amsrud. Visitation will be held at St. John Lutheran Church (401 3rd Ave. N.E.) in Waseca from 4-7 PM on Friday, February 3, 2012. Funeral services will follow the visitation and will begin at 7:00 PM on Friday, February 3, 2012 at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca.
